Metal Thursday, as always was an excellent time, despite the Bruins being eliminated from the playoffs during our set. We're continuing to get tighter with the addition of Reggie behind the kit, and our sets are proof. Thanks to Chris for three awesome years of Metal Thursday!

Thanks to everybody who made it out to Club Oasis last night - it was a rockin' good time. We debuted a new song, "Captivity", and brought back an oldschool DS track, "Reflected In Glass Eyes". Overall, a fantastic evening. Extra thanks to Tom for booking us! Next up, Metal Thursday on May 14 w/ Shroud Of Bereavement, Frozen, and Rohirrim!

Upcoming Shows

It's been more than a year, but Dreaded Silence makes its long-awaited return to the stage on April 11, 2009! DS will be headlining, with support in the form of Withered Sun (featurning ex-The Accursed members Jon and Chris Helme) and New Jersey's Divinity Destroyed.

Upcoming Shows

January 15, 2009

After some auditions, a slight hiatus, a rock n' roll wedding, and a cover gig, we're back on track now. That being said, Dreaded Silence is pleased to welcome Reggie Payne on drums! Reggie's style and personality fit the band more than we could have hoped for, and we're looking forward to his live debut.

2007 ended with a bang for DS, between supporting Katatonia for the second time, the release of our new EP, Oblivion Never Came, and our appearance at Metal Thursday's Chuck Schuldiner tribute show.

We were fortunate to secure a slot opening for the Katatonia / Scar Symmetry / Insomnium / Swallow The Sun tour at Mark's Showplace in NH. The turnout was fantastic, the response was great, and we were able to grab a promotional poster for the show. A successful evening, to say the least.

November saw the release of our second EP, Oblivion Never Came, the next step in our continuing evolution as a band. So far the response has been positive, and we're proud of what we've accomplished this time out.

The Chuck Schuldiner tribute show the other week was a fun time, and we'll probably rotate some of those covers into future sets. Hopefully we'll have video from the show at some point for you. Thanks to Chris from Zircon for the slot, all the other bands for putting on fun sets of Death goodness, and everyone who came out to honor one of the innovators of extreme music.
